Business 40 Meetings

The Business 40 Project Team will conduct public meetings to provide current information on the project as well as to listen to the public about their issues regarding Business 40, alternate routes, planned improvements, bridge reconstruction as well as to answer questions and concerns from the public.  During the first (Planning) phase of the project Neighborhood Meetings, Corridor-wide Meetings, and Issues Groups will be used. The second phase of the project (Engineering/Design) will utilize issues group meetings.

Neighborhood Meetings:  As part of the Community Outreach portion of the Public Involvement Process neighborhood meetings are being held in 7 core neighborhoods and 7 surrounding neighborhoods throughout the project area.  These meetings will present an overview of the Business Route 40 project, present the preliminary finding of the door to door surveys (in the core neighborhoods)and solicit comments, questions, and/or concerns regarding the project.  The meeting dates and locations are presented on the following tables.  Summaries of meetings already completed can be accessed via the tables.

Corridor-wide Meetings:  After completion of the surveying for the Public Involvement phase of the project is completed, four (4) corridor-wide meetings will be held.  These meetings will not only present the findings of the Public Involvement Study; but also preliminary traffic findings, detour routes, and design options.  This information will be presented to the public for their comments and suggestions.

Issue Groups will be formed to help address significant issues identified during the corridor-wide meetings.  These groups will meet through Phase 2 (Engineering/Design) of the project. Signup sheets will be available at the Corridor-wide Meetings or you can click here to sign up.
