Corridor-wide Meetings were held following the completion of Public Outreach efforts and the initiation of preliminary traffic modeling. The object of the Corridor-wide Meetings was to presentthe results of the community outreach surveys and preliminary traffic modeling to the public, provide an opportunity for the public to voice their concerns and thoughts, and suggest issues that could be discussed at one of the Issues Groups.
The Corridor-wide Meetings were held in three different locations and at two different times to make them convenient for core and surrounding neighborhood, suburban, and downtown residents and employees to attend. The meeting locations were selected to enable residents living on both sides of Winston-Salem to attend a meeting close to their homes, and commuters and residents who worked downtown to attend a meeting downtown near their work place.
